The Collaborative is pleased to announce the award of a Massachusetts Department of Parks and Recreation contract for design and construction services to redesign Amory Park along the Southwest Corridor in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
The Collaborative’s landscape architecture team recently completed the construction drawing development for the design and construction of a new 160,000 s.f. microelectronics building on MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory campus. The project is currently out to bid.
The Collaborative provided planning consulting services to the City of Atlanta on behalf of its Department of City Planning for a major update to the West End Livable Centers Initiative (LCI). The Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative Program seeks to prepare and implement plans for the enhancement of existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.
Planners play a key role in creating more resilient and sustainable cities, from the development of codes preserving open space, limiting stormwater runoff, and increasing municipal plantings to keep communities cooler.
In Spring 2020, the Collaborative completed master plan updates for Subareas 9 and 10. The BeltLine is the most comprehensive transportation and economic development effort ever undertaken in Atlanta, ultimately connecting 45 neighborhoods via a new transit network, multi-use trails, and parks.
