The Collaborative, working with Brian Healy Architects, was a semifinalist in the Olympic Village Design Competition for New York City's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Summer Games (NYC2012).

The team's unique Olympic Village concept stimulates interaction and learning by building "interpretive windows" throughout the village that give the athletes insights into each other's cultures. Shared interior spaces form indoor art galleries and digital displays allow the broadcast of performances by artists from around the world. Exterior pathways weave through an international sculpture park.
