The outdoor interpretive exhibit "Windows into Boston" opens up views into a seldom-seen subterranean cityscape of pipes, telephone cables, subways, roadways, and gas lines.

Exposing our urban infrastructure to public view, we learn of the great wonders of the world that we so often take for granted: the astonishing complexity of the modern city and the remarkable performance of the many systems that occupy an entire world beneath our feet.
