The Greenspace Initiative aligns Ames' green activities with NASA missions and green activities at other NASA centers by providing strategy, integration, and implementation support for a diverse portfolio of alternative energy and environmental projects across Ames.

There are four areas where Ames can make world-class research contributions that accomplish our NASA missions and, at the same time, address broader issues of global change and foster a greener and energy-independent government and Nation.
