Struck by the similarity between Brancusi's "Bird in Flight" and wind tunnel models, the Design Collaborative's Tom Dixon conceived of a traveling exhibition celebrating the aesthetics of aerospace engineering.

Artifacts gathered from NASA's labs and warehouses form exhibits that celebrate the magnificence of modern instruments of flight.

Co-sponsored by the Art Institute of Chicago and NASA, venues have included the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Architectural Foundation's Octagon Museum in Washington D.C.
