There is a strong call from healthcare professionals to develop and deliver education programs that will help the public understand the importance of and potential benefits available with the growth of Personalized Medicine.

Because of their unique training and access to the public, pharmacists are identified as the most logical healthcare professionals to deliver genomics education in community settings. To capitalize on this opportunity it will be necessary to offer comprehensive Continuing Education (CE) programs that will train pharmacists to deliver community education programs.

To support this effort the Collaborative is helping GEI to develop all education programs and to launch its program.
